Enforcement Procedure

Everyone has the right to request the accessibility of a digital website, mobile application, or any of their elements. You can also request that information be made available through an alternative access method, for example, by having a digitally inaccessible document read aloud, describing the content of a video without audio description, etc.

The request should include the details of the person making the request, an indication of which website or mobile application it concerns, and a method of contact. If the person requesting needs to receive information through an alternative access method, they should also specify a convenient way for the information to be presented.

The entity should process the request immediately, no later than within 7 days from the date of the request. If this deadline cannot be met, the entity will immediately inform the requester when the request can be fulfilled, with this new deadline not being longer than 2 months from the date of the request. If ensuring digital accessibility is not possible, the entity may propose an alternative method of accessing the information.

If the entity refuses to fulfill the request for accessibility or an alternative method of access, the requester may file a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or their element.

After exhausting the above procedure, a complaint can also be filed with the Polish Commissioner for Human Rights (Rzecznik Praw Obywatelskich)https://bip.brpo.gov.pl/en
